Article 1 – Purpose

This policy sets out the applicable warranties, exclusions, terms of service and customer responsibilities for all installation work and products sold by Pro du Patio.

Article 2 – Scope of application

The following provisions apply to :

• all installations carried out by Pro du Patio ;
• all products, materials and structures sold by Pro du Patio ;
• all customer requests for service calls.

These conditions prevail over any information communicated verbally or by a third party.

Article 3 – Installation guarantee (Pro du Patio)

3.1 Duration and scope

• The warranty covers only defects attributable to installation.
• The duration of the installation warranty is 1 year from the date of installation.
• The warranty includes labor only during this 1-year period.

3.2 Out of warranty

After the expiry of the 1-year period, all interventions are billable, including :

• Travel expenses: $175 minimum (including 1 hour within a 25 km radius of the store).
• Supplements: $2.50/km additional and $105/hr per technician.

Article 4 – Manufacturers’ warranties

Material warranties are the responsibility of the manufacturer. Pro du Patio acts solely as an installer and administrative intermediary.

4.1 Tendal solariums

• Polymer and mosquito netting: 1 year from receipt of materials.
• Structure and paint: according to Tendal’s official manufacturer’s warranty.

4.2 Weatherdek PVC membranes

• Material replacement may be covered in the event of a manufacturing defect.
• Labor is not covered by the Weatherdek warranty.

Article 5 – Customer responsibilities

The manufacturer’s warranty and installation warranty are void or limited in the following cases:

• damage caused by an animal (e.g. broken door, torn mosquito net) ;
• misuse, abuse, shock, impact or accident;
• lack or inadequacy of maintenance ;
• modification or repair by an unauthorized third party;
• extreme weather conditions ;
• impeded access to the product or installation ;
• defects appearing after expiry of the applicable warranty period.

Article 6 – Seasonal limits and weather conditions

• Pro du Patio is a seasonal boutique.
• The store is not open to the public in winter.
• No service or claim can be processed in store.
• Service calls must be submitted exclusively via the service call page of the website.
• Certain operations (e.g. silicone installation) cannot be carried out in winter due to unsuitable temperatures.

No exception can be made for climatic conditions incompatible with installation materials or techniques.

Article 7 – Mandatory service call procedure

7.1 Submitting an application

All requests must be submitted via the online service call form.
No claims, complaints or requests for intervention will be processed:

• in store,
• by phone,
• by e-mail (other than the form).

7.2 Analysis and prioritization

Requests are processed :

• in order of receipt,
• depending on the time of year,
• depending on technical feasibility and weather conditions.

7.3 Applicable fees

If the request is not covered by a warranty, the following fees automatically apply:

• 175 minimum for travel (1 hour included / 25 km)
• 2.50/additional km
• 105/hr per technician
• Cost of parts or materials required

Article 8 – Validity of warranties

The applicable warranties are limited exclusively :

• manufacturing defects (products) ;
• installation defects (Pro du Patio, 1 year);
• compliance with prescribed operating and maintenance conditions.

Any damage resulting from an external factor unrelated to a defect (e.g. animal, shock, impact, poor maintenance) will automatically result in an out-of-warranty claim.

Article 9 – Acceptance of conditions

By purchasing a product or having it installed by Pro du Patio, the customer acknowledges having read these terms and conditions and accepts all the policies, limitations and procedures set forth in this document.
